Sarah Askine Earns Patriot League Academic Honor

Loyola University Maryland placed 66 student-athletes on their respective sports' Patriot League Academic Honor Rolls for the fall seasons.

The Loyola women's soccer team posted the most Honor Roll members in the League with 24 during the fall semester. The volleyball team had 13, while women's cross country had 11 and the men's cross country team had 10; men's soccer saw eight team members honored.

Overall, the Greyhounds entered the spring term with a 3.302 cumulative GPA. A total of 163 student-athletes - more than 40 percent of Loyola's nearly 400 total competitors - were named to the University's Dean's List as the department had its highest fall-semester GPA in history.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade point average or higher during their semester of athletic compeition.

Four Loyola teams had more than 75 percent or more of their rosters honored. The men's cross country team saw 91 persent of its participants land on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
